Introduction:
The subject area of food intolerance is complex. No two individuals experience exactly the same symptoms.

The one thing all Coeliacs and wheat free persons agree on…

the need for real food…..minus the Wheat and Gluten.

We agree whole heartedly with this…..

Antoinette Savill has been a professional cook and cookery for the past 25 years. She is a sufferer of food allergies, and a determination that the food sensitivities should not prevent anyone enjoying delicious foods.

The combination of Antoinette with the talents of the bakers within Wellfoods has produced a winning range of foods……

Product Purity

The "Flour" ingredients are blended in a "gluten free" factory. The product is made to good manufacturing procedures on equipment that is used solely for gluten free product production.

Ingredients are routinely tested. We are confident in our supplies….and to be 100% certain….

and...

for your added assurance EACH AND EVERY BATCH made is placed on hold until a gluten test has been performed. The test itself is highly sensitive.

Only when a test confirms that the batch is gluten free does our Quality Assurance manager release the batch for dispatch.

This is one of the reasons why it is still slightly more expensive than standard baked products. Wellfoods is committed to lowering prices.
Products

One remark by first time consumers is that the Wellfoods range cannot possibly be gluten free because it tastes too good.

The taste and texture comes out of months of trial and error by our award winning bakers in formulating products.

The Loaf

Officially Bread is flour, water and yeast that has been fermented and baked. Since there is no flour in the Wellfoods product (i.e. no ground up wheat), we cannot officially call the product bread.

SO officially it's the Wellfoods Gluten free LOAF. We know it's awkward so just enjoy the bread (oops sorry ... loaf)

It is probably the nearest thing you can buy

Many consumers say that Wellfoods Gluten free loaf is the nearest thing to ordinary bread

It looks like a proper loaf; you can make sandwiches, it makes toast that some people prefer to normal bread.

The nearest description of the flavour and texture is that of crumpets.

Crumb it in a food processor and use it as breadcrumb in your favourite recipes.

The Antoinette Savill range is also available from Waitrose
and selected Budgen stores.
