Many
consumers say that a slice from a Wellfoods Gluten free loaf is the nearest
thing to ordinary bread. It looks like a proper loaf; the nearest description of the flavour and texture is that of crumpets. You cans make sandwiches just like ordinary bread. It makes toast that some people prefer to normal bread. Crumb it in a food processor and use it as breadcrumb in your favourite recipes. |
| GLUTEN
FREE LOAF Officially Bread is flour, water and yeast which has been fermented and baked. Since there is no flour in the wellfoods product (i.e. no ground up wheat) then we cannot officially call the product bread; even though it is probably the nearest thing you can buy. SO officially it's the Wellfoods Gluten free LOAF. We know it's awkward so just enjoy the bread (oops sorry . . . loaf) One remark by first time consumers is that the Wellfoods loaf cannot possibly be gluten free because it tastes too good and it's too low in price. The price is achieved because we are the manufacturer, we believe that gluten free food is generally expensive and are committed to lowering prices. The taste and texture comes out of months of trial and error by our award winning bakers in formulating the product. The ingredients are blended in a "gluten free" factory. The product is made to good manufacturing procedures on equipment which is used solely for gluten free product production. Ingredients are routinely tested AND . . . . . . For
your added assurance EACH AND EVERY BATCH made is placed on hold until
a gluten test has been performed. Only when a test confirms that the
batch is gluten free does our quality assurance manager release the
batch for dispatch. (This is one of the reasons why it is still more
expensive than standard bread). |
